To protect copyrights and guarantee the collection of 100% of generated royalties, independent labels and creators must follow a strict, structured timeline of legal and administrative registrations.

Restructuring Note (USCO Fee Updates) Be aware that the U.S. Copyright Office periodically implements revised fee structures. Currently, the standard single-author electronic registration fee is $45 (Standard application is $65), and Group Registration for Unpublished Works (GRUW) is $85. Note that these fees are subject to future Copyright Office adjustments. Make sure to budget accordingly and verify current fees on Copyright.gov.
